What is the barrier on the Creative server? I know the map loads 16000x16000, but I tried to show ouhai a npc village and it wouldnt allow him to tp to it, it just said that he had reached the edge of the world…
Would it be possible to make the barrier the same as the map? Or bigger at least? Because looking at the web map is teasing me because where i want it seems you cannot go =(

As far as I know, what you see on the map IS the size of the map barrier since we generated the entire map to the edge then rendered it.
The map is currently 16,000 x 16,000. The world border is currently 8000 x 8000. We are trying to decide whether to retain the 1.8.1 terrain after this point or generate new terrain using the 1.0 code. The new biome code includes the snow biomes, and the mushroom biomes. There are 3 player creations outside the current world border.
just got online, sill cant get past 4000 :-[
8000 x 8000 means the world border is at 4000. You can go to -4000 too, making the world 8000 in length.
OH i thought you meant the border was at 8000
it isnt, or at least wasnt, i see things at 8000,8000
To stop confusion, the map size is from (-8000, -8000) to (8000, 8000) in a square. The barrier is at (-4000, -4000) to (4000, 4000)

im saying the creative map does NOT stop at the barrier… it goes to the edge of the map, as others have seen

Im just saying, on the MAP… on the MAP MAP Map map… you can see past the barrier, which is a complete tease, because im seeing some places where i would like to build that are blocked =(
