As I have stated before, I just recently got back into Minecraft. It seems like the authentication servers are down at least once per day. I don’t remember that when I used to play years ago. Is this something that just started happening recently?
This is a relatively recent thing, so I guess something happened to the servers recently. Just hang tight and wait for the issue to be resolved. You can track the status here.
