I thought of having a server-wide Horse Racing Series.

3 Track types.

Street courses
Street courses are road courses that take place on the long narrow streets of farcoast, or the short streets of silver, and the Long wide streets of palmview.
Road courses
Road courses are Purpose built tracks like ovals but only made in stone. THe have right turns aswell as left turns.
Ovals
Ovals can be dirt or stone, and can be so small the could fit in a Large Plantation, or as large that you can put half of farcoast inside it! or medium sized.

RULES:

  1. No Fighting while on horses. Don’t hit anyone with a sword or you will be penalized.
  2. Horse armor is encouraged and permitted.
  3. Have at it. I allow action I cant get out of hand with fights.
  4. Most important, Have fun!

If you don’t want to run the National series, you can race weekly at your local track. Say you are from Yorba and you want to race but don’t wanna race in the National series.You can run the Big series race when they come to your location. You don’t get points but you can race for the win, then race for your City championship later on.

And even if you run the big series full time you can chose 2 tracks, where you want to run for the local track championship.

PRIZES:

All races have prize money.
If you play the National Races there is a BIG reward.

So what do you think? I think this would be a good way to promote our server and have a good time :smiley:

If you want me to, I can make a track at some point. Will be realistic in size, wont be done for a LONG while.

I’d love to host a competition on the streets of Silver :smiley:

You know what we need? Horse teleporting :smiley: I saw a mod in develoopment for it earlier on bukkit plugins, would be great for this kind of thing.

I’m gunna start the Rubiton Racecourse right now. And of course, a statue of the Supreme Overlord General Ouhai of Rubiton will be the focal point.

The travelling can be part of it. Finding my horse and bringing it to my home was actually pretty fun. Either that, or the horse teleporting plugin could be looked into I guess.

Me, Think, Bolje and Komix have started work on an oval dirt track and depending on success will start a road course twisting through the mountains near where we all live.

Another thought: How about a cross country event? Just get from point A to B. Players get given coordinates and make their way there. Could also do sets of coordinates that they have to pass (e.g. A to B to C to D).

I would be willing to donate some of my horses for the races.

We will name our track soon just need to talk to the others. We will also be building a stables and will be breeding horses for people who do not want to travel.
