Applying for Operator: Tips

So I have been seeing some very, very sad Operator applications. I think the longest sentence that I have seen is: “I been a member for a while” good for you. That does not make you worthy of the operator position.

Some helpful hints:

  1. Get ProBuilder.

  2. Have a longer “why you deserve this position”. Make it longer than 1-3 sentences. Personally, I like seeing why you think you deserve the OP position. That does not mean you will get the position though

  3. Do not pester the staff (CMP/SMP and other classic staff) about if you think you are worthy enough, only ask if they will recommend you.

  4. Get to know most of the staff commands, not just /ban, /uban, /xundo, /rank, /unban ect. I understand the OP position gets some time to get used to. You will learn more commands as you go on with it. (As for me, I forgot some :stuck_out_tongue: )

  5. If you apply as a Builder or AdvBuilder, there is a slightly lower chance of you getting Operator.

  6. YOU DO NOT GET OP BY BUILDING! OP is part of staff. You have to earn the trust of most staff. INCLUDING SMP/CMP via dynamic map: http://projectcitybuild.com/maps.php

Hopefully with these tips you will be able to create a better application which, in turn, makes it more likely you’ll be accepted.

i would like to make people understand that perstering the ever living shite outta the SMP CMP staff will not be tolerated. if you would like to join us in a lively chat, feel free. but do not pester, instigate, or aggravate the staff or other players. this includes sexually explicit jokes and such. use common sense while on there and have a good time. but if you do go too far, staff retain the right to ip ban so as to get you off of the dynamic map.

heh… If we got op for building … everyone on the server would be OP because of my trashy builds xD

For classic Op >OP just make it clear in your application that you are applying for CLASSIC
