hey guys, so i've actually found ms-dos on an old floppy disk and me and my dad installed it on one of our computers that has a floppy drive. it works fine! i got a few programs for it... but then i got a program and when i tried to install it, it said i needed 8 megabytes of ram to install... my dad says he knows there is a lot more ram in it. we've search high and low over the internet for a solution to getting dos to recognize the megabytes of ram that is already in the computer, and we can't find anything. i was just asking for help on how i can either get more ram in the computer or get dos to recognize the ram already in it. sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but i know there are some smart people here and i don't really know where else to look.
thanks

I highly doubt it’s your RAM. If you only had 8mb of RAM you wouldn’t even be able to run an internet browser, let alone minecraft.
I have no experience with ms-dos, and have no idea if this is any use to you, but a quick google search gave me this: https://courses.engr.illinois.edu/ece390/books/artofasm/CH13/CH13-5.html
DOS is already a part of Windows really. Even if it is emulated now. Press the windows key and R together. It brings up the run app. Then type in cmd. That’s dos. Or you may want an emulator.
ms-dos is a completely different operating system… it’s from the 1990’s… i don’t use it for minecraft and internet browsing… i use my main pc which is windows 7. i have yet to read the link you sent and i will reply if it helped or not.
patched it!! my it was all part of the software, a corrupted .bat didn’t allow it to gather data. sorry for the ca-motion! we re-downloaded it.
locked i guess?
