It’s not that it’s necessary or anything, but it kinda gets annoying when you keep spamming someone and 5 min later you find out they’re afk. I just think it would be more of a convenience for everyone so they can let people know they’re afk instead of doing /me afk or something of the related.
What if we got the afk plug in? Where when you type ./afk, you magically are put as afk!

We already have /afk we just dont have perms to use it lol
People were abusing this command. You cant take damage when /afk. People use this when they fall into lava or get surrounded by mobs. If there was like a 15sec cooldown before /afk activated, think that would be the best solution.
Oh I see, in that case, yes a cooldown would work well to prevent against abuse. I didnt realize you couldnt take damage while afk, nor did I know we had it at one point and people were abusing it. I probably wasnt around at that time. 8)
We could always just shut off the invincibility in essentials…

Then there is pretty much a guarantee that if you step away from your computer you’ll die
Log off… its not that difficult…
John does have a point you are just taking up server space when you go afk.
We had people that would abuse the /afk command and be ‘on for hours’ when in actual fact they just logged on then went off and did something completely unrelated to the server.
That was the reason we removed the privilege.
Just log off like John says and log back in - that way you are not taking up someone else’s place and people will not ‘spam’ you thinking you are online.
That does get annoying.
