A few questions

  1. Why does PCB need an e-mail address
This fact stopped me from coming on the server for at least a year until I found out that my IRL friends Asmo_ TheUKMax, Herreh and Pandaguy999 played on it and Asmo suggested that I use 10 min mail

  2. Why can’t members have /AFk
If we really wanted to we could spam with text

  3. Why is the rule book entitled “PCB Enquiry”
For a while I thought is was just “contact us” instructions, so didn’t bother to read it

To avoid forum spam. Having am e-mail activation code is the best way to do this.

2) Why can't members have /AFk If we really wanted to we could spam with text
Players were abusing it because it can be used to avoid taking damage from mobs.
3) Why is the rule book entitled "PCB Enquiry" For a while I thought is was just "contact us" instructions, so didn't bother to read it
I guess it just seemed like a good name? You'd have to ask @Johnathan
  1. Pretty much what Ouhai_Ruby said. It helps to prevent bots from registering an account on our site and spamming us. It’s not foolproof but it certainly does help.

  2. As a means of automated contact - particularly if you forget your password, the system can send you a link via email to reset it and reclaim your account.

We don’t recommend signing up with a temporary email address for the 2nd reason, but if you choose to do so that’s your choice.

When I signed up I didn’t have my own e-mail adress. (other than my school one). But I do agree with what Zak’s about to say.

Honestly, that’s a rare thing nowadays. Emails are incredibly commonplace in today’s society, so we assume everyone has one. And really, the way we see it, if you don’t have one, are not old enough to understand how to make one, or parents won’t allow it/use their own, nine times out of ten, the player is probably too young to grasp most of our rules as well on-server, which saves us a lot of trouble too.

Its PCB Inquiry, not Enquiry.

It gives players no excuse to not know the rules, and what each world does. It’s common sense to read stuff that you spawn in with, is it not?

Conveniently, “enquiry” and “inquiry” appear to have the same meaning.
