1.5 is now out as most of you probably know. I was just curious if Spec and Andy are going to boot up the Vanilla server.

It will be eventually I’m sure. Once all of the plugins and necessary software has been updated. Until then, refrain from updating if you still want to play on the server.

Warning! Never update your MC unless Andy or __specialk say the server has been updated. If you do, you won’t be able to visit our server till we do. This is usually a week after the official update!
If you want to update anyway, save a copy of your minecraft.jar file and swap it back in to “downgrade” so you can visit us again.
Just google search for 1.4.7 We can’t provide a copy of the jar… I forget the exact words of why so i’m not gona try and say

Vanilla server will be put up in the next few days. We’ll have to test the stability since there are going to be lots of redstone devices. The main server will be updated when a stable bukkit build has been released. There are lots of new game changing items and blocks in this update, so quite a few plugins will break.
The test server will run as vanilla minecraft 1.5 until a dev build of bukkit is released. We will then switch the test server over to bukkit and slowly test each and every plugin. Only then can we contemplate updating the main server.
