I Know I’m only a member, and half you guys don’t even know me.
But I want to say something: I hate how people are so angry, serious, and grumpy even on a cheerful game like minecraft.
But I hate it even more when they take it out on someone else. I understand that people can have issues in real life.
And by all means, tell us. We can comfort you, or at least try.

But please, no matter who you are, guest or sop, trusted or mod, don’t get all mad at other people. Minecraft is here for fun, right? People get banned so that others can continue having fun, right? But, we all know its not fun getting banned, or even just getting shouted at. Think about what your doing or saying. Sure, it’s funny to you. But some people may take offense at it.

But just because somebody says something slightly out of line, that doesnt mean you should go around shouting at them, telling them that they’re horrible people, and so on. I for one go on PCB to have fun. Sometimes it’s hard to have fun and make sure other people can still have fun.
So how about we all go on the server and do some big event? Have a laugh? Like cherry’s wedding, that was lots of fun. Everyone was pretty happy and talking about it for the next few days.

Then, nothing good for the community itself happened. Everyone drifted away, higher ups started getting grumpy again, and so on. Why not have a huge building event, and instead of people doing it on there own, have it so that we all build together? Like, we can have plots and tell people to build x at y, depending on how well they think they can build.

That’s all I’ve got to say, sorry if this is just bleh, I’m tired. All the time…

Also, lets hope this new reply that seems to have appeared isnt the same as my post.

I like events, but not huge building ones so much. I like silly ones where everyone can just mess around a bit more. I miss the events where we did players vs mobs in the arena, then when players with full diamond were surviving everything, have the areana literally fill with zombies, pigmen and ghasts and laugh until you almost couldn’t breathe due to the chaos you were witnessing.

Again please. I’ll speak to some other staff and try to organise more of this, so don’t worry about that.

And anima, thats because were were trying to be organised for the sake of fatso recording it but you wouldn’t listen to anyone for the whole time when everyone else was pretty much quiet. You brought that upon yourself there.

Lets organize an event. Everyone starts with 1 seed, 2 buckets of water, a hoe and 2 sheep.

whoever gets the most sheep after 2 hours wins.

Whu, this is getting really derailed, but I think a sheep herding contest would be more fun. Say you have 15 or 20 sheep you have to get to a certain point. Time the event and see who is the fastest. Bonus if this is done on horseback.

I said this same shit months back and you guys are acting like it’s some sort of new problem that has JUST NOW become a thing. Dogdamn man, why do you think I took a leave of absence? All of the regulars on at the time were whiny little cunts and the staff were a bunch of “HURR HURR NO FUN 4 U”.
I mean, hell, it took me a year to get to mod. The fact anyone can get it in half the time should have been the first tip that something was majorly MAJORLY wrong.

its because I am the one who got Op the fastest of all staff member since 2013.
member -> trusted 1 month trusted->mod 5-6 months mod-> OP 1month

Hey, I got to SOP from guest in 11 months. Hell, liam did it in 7! Time means nothing for these things. If you think you deserve a promotion but aren’t getting noticed, that’s a sign that you’re doing something wrong. Make yourselves noticed for the right reasons and you will flourish.

To those staff whining about people getting promoted faster than them:
Grow up. It’s honestly pathetic. Like I said, if someone deserves the position, they will get it. If it took you 10 months to get from Trusted to Mod and you think it should have been shorter, then you should have applied earlier. If you’ve been Mod for 10 months and want to be OP, make yourself known to us and you will get the position.

Also, Ka, from your post I see you giving the newer OPs a bit of the cold shoulder. Again, grow up.

Yes, you are really the same as all of them. You got Mod without applying, so don’t get uppity when Mods get OP without applying. And as I already said, if they make themselves known to be doing good things, they will get the position. Time doesn’t make a difference at all.

One thing I’d like to say, people do complain about fast Mod - Op promotions. The system changed, that’s why. We used to leave it and not make the effort to assess people, promoting every now and then when we realised “Oh, they’ve been here for a while and are doing well. Guess they should be Op really.” Then Mod became a trial.

I’ll use Yomi as an example:
By the old system, yes she became Op very fast.
By the new system (Mod is a trial period which lasts roughly one month) she was well overdue becoming an Op.

Hence the reason i did what i did, cause lets face it, if you want someone to bitch at, its Nek, for changeing the rules, you guys, for NOT FUCKING SAYING SOMETHING SOONER, and Me, for following the status quo that Nek Implemented. Im the one who brought it up to everyone, and im the one who, when i recieved the go ahead from everyone started the promotions. If you didn’t see that we were doing this in time to bitch about it, thats tough shit, you should have been on the forum doing your job instead of waiting to bitch about this now. We are trying to give people the tools they need to be more efficient on here. Now, i get to work on the back end because of all this shit and start assesing people to be demoted! you think i fucking like doing that? I think thats enough. We all know what needs to happen.

I’ll be talking to people to see what sort of events people would like to do alongside the ones already in planning.
No more complaining about ranks, the system we have at the moment works so it will be staying.

[size=0.7em]I actually don’t remember implementing any rules regarding applications. I did make an overhaul suggestion to the application itself but nothing about the way people apply. Well if you count the whole Mod trial thing but that was already decided to be a trial and somehow became its own rank before I pushed for it to turn back to a trial for Op.

Anyways this thread is already locked and things will be discussed and will be done. I just wanted an excuse to post that image. It’s cute. Kbai.
